Iraqis turn out to vote amid wave of bombing attacks

A wave of attacks on Iraq's election day tapered off by mid-afternoon, and before the polls closed at 5 p.m., Iraqis in even the most volatile cities made their way to heavily guarded polling stations to cast ballots in what were billed as the first elections organized, carried out and secured by Iraqis.
