Bush officials' 'lack of recall' thwarted Tillman, Lynch probes

In a report released Monday, the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform said it was thwarted in its efforts to determine whether Bush administration officials intentionally hid the details of Patrick Tillman's friendly fire death and Jessica Lynch's capture. The committee said top Bush administration officials showed "a near universal lack of recall" when asked about the incidents, which were widely misreported.
