New Orleans homeless hole up in Hurricane Katrina’s abandoned buildings

The New Orleans-area homeless population is estimated at 4,900 – twice as big as before the levees failed in 2005 after Hurricane Katrina – and the majority sleeps in the some 40,000 abandoned buildings that remain after the storm.
