If only Smith’s sentiment was universally shared in America. Because it’s not. Not even close.
Michael Vick, the former Atlanta Falcons football star who served 18 months in prison for his part in a dog-fighting ring, is said to be close to signing with a pro team — not the Bears — after being conditionally reinstated to the NFL on July 26.
