Colin Powell's attacks on Sarah Palin and the Republican Party aren't exactly surprising. Isn't this the same former GOP standard bearer who endorsed Barack Obama for president?
Sure is, so Powell's advice on how to create a stronger party won't exactly be welcomed by a lot of Republicans.
Frankly, the former Secretary of State in the Bush administration said little new in his interview with CNN's Fareed Zakaria, which is scheduled for Sunday's "GPS" program.
– Palin was a divisive force in the recent election? Do tell.
– The GOP must listen to minority groups? Heard that before.
– The party should stop trying to impose ultra-conservative views on Americans? Ditto.
