With Barack Obama on his way to the White House, Illinois residents are wondering who Gov. Rod Blagojevich will appoint to Obama's U.S. Senate seat.
Blagojevich clearly is relishing all the attention and the power he holds. He quipped the day after the election, "I've never had more friends than I do today."
Uh-oh. More friends than he had the day after his own election as governor? Some of those friends got appointments to state boards and commissions or landed lucrative state contracts after contributing to Blagojevich's campaign fund. Convicted influence peddler Tony Rezko was one of those contributor-appointees.
