President Barack Obama dined with two old friends and major supporters -- Jeffrey Katzenberg and Steven Spielberg --Thursday night at his Los Angeles hotel, according to Deadline Hollywood, a trade publication in Hollywood.
The dinner, which was not disclosed to the media, comes days after Obama and his wife, First Lady Michelle Obama, held a secret party for hundreds featuring Prince and Stevie Wonder at the White House. The party was disclosed only after guest, including the Rev. Al Sharpton, began tweeting about it.
Katzenberg and Spielberg, who founded DreamWorks production company, were spotted leaving the Beverly Hills hotel where Obama was staying on his two-day swing through California. He had just left a fundraiser at Tyler Perry’s Beverly Hills home. pad at 7:30 PM, POTUS sat down to break bread with the DreamWorks Animation CEO and the Oscar winning director.
Obama did the same thing in 2013 when he dined with Katzenberg at his Burbank hotel back while it town to tape an appearance on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno. After multiple questions, the White House eventually said Obama paid for the meal.
