Former President Bill Clinton will headline his first campaign rally for his wife, Hillary Clinton, this weekend, her campaign announced Monday.

The former president will appear before the Iowa Democratic Party dinner in crucial early nominating state of Iowa. He will be joined by pop star Katy Perry, who endorsed Clinton earlier this year. It is his first trip to Iowa in the 2016 cycle.

Bill Clinton has not taken a prominent role in his campaign so far, though that has started to change.

Hillary Clinton will attend the dinner, but her campaign has not released her schedule for earlier in the day.

All five major candidates running for the Democratic nomination for president are expected to appear at the dinner.
