A court order put NC candidate filing on hold. Here’s who filed to run for Congress.

Candidate filing for North Carolina’s 2022 elections came to a stop Wednesday.
The N.C. Supreme Court ordered a halt to the filing process in all races because of lawsuits that accused state lawmakers of drawing districts to dilute the votes of political opponents. Judges have not yet ruled on whether the maps need to be redrawn.
The News & Observer and Charlotte Observer had monitored the filings to bring you updates on the latest candidates who had declared a run for the U.S. House and Senate before the ruling.
The ruling said those who filed will still count when filing begins again, likely in 2022. But those candidates also have the option to withdraw.
Here are the names of who has filed so far:
U.S. Senate
Incumbent: U.S. Sen. Richard Burr announced he would retire at the end of his term.
Democrats who have filed: Rett Newton, Constance Lov Johnson
Republicans who have filed: Benjamin E. Griffiths, Lee A. Brian, Lichia Sibhatu, Jen Banwart, Charles Kenneth Moss
District 1
Counties: Beaufort, Camden, Carteret, Chowan, Craven, Currituck, Dare, Gates, Hyde, Jones, Lenior, Pamlico, Pasquotank, Perquimans, Pitt, Tyrell and parts of Onslow.
Incumbent: Greg Murphy, a Pitt County Republican, announced plans to file for reelection.
District 2
Counties: Bertie, Caswell, Edgecombe, Franklin, Granville, Greene, Halifax, Hertford, Martin, Nash, Northampton, Person, Vance, Warren, Washington, Wilson and parts of Wayne.
Incumbent: G.K. Butterfield, a Wilson County Democrat, announced on Nov. 18 he would not seek reelection.
Republicans who have filed: Brent Roberson, Brad Murphy, Laura Pichardo
District 3
Counties: Bladen, Brunswick, Columbus Duplin, New Hanover, Pender, Robeson and parts of Onslow.
Incumbent: David Rouzer, a New Hanover County Republican, said he plans to file.
Republicans who have filed: Brian Friend
District 4
Counties: Cumberland, Harnett, Johnston, Sampson and part of Wayne.
Incumbent: None
Democrats who have filed: Charles E. Evans
Republicans who have filed: DeVan Barbour, Nat Robertson, John Szoka
District 5
Counties: Wake
Incumbent: Deborah Ross, a Wake County Democrat, said she plans to run for reelection.
Republicans who have filed: Adina Safta
District 6
Counties: Durham, Orange and parts of Wake
Incumbent: David Price, a Chapel Hill Democrat, announced his retirement.
District 7
Counties: Alamance, Chatham, Lee, Randolph and parts of Davidson, Guilford and Wake.
Incumbent: None
District 8
Counties: Anson, Hoke, Montgomery, Moore, Richmond, Scotland, Stanly, Union and parts of Mecklenburg.
Incumbent: None
District 9
Counties: Mecklenburg
Incumbents: Under the newly drawn congressional maps, state lawmakers placed both Dan Bishop, a Republican, and Alma Adams, a Democrat, in this district.
Bishop announced his plan to move to the 8th district, which encompasses many of the constituents he had been serving under the previous maps.
Republicans who have filed: Francisco Rios
Democrats: Adams
District 10
Counties: Cabarrus, Davie, Rowan and parts of Davidson, Guilford and Iredell
Incumbent: Richard Hudson, a Republican from Concord, filed for reelection.
Republicans who have filed: Hudson
District 11
Counties: Alexander, Alleghany, Ashe, Caldwell, Rockingham, Stokes, Surry, Wilkes, and parts of Guilford and Wautaga.
Incumbent: Under the newly drawn maps, state lawmakers placed both Virginia Foxx, a Republican from Wautaga County, and Kathy Manning, a Democrat from Guilford County, in this district.
Foxx has said she plans to run for reelection. Manning has hinted at running for reelection, but has not announced her plans.
Republicans: Foxx
District 12
Counties: Catawba, Forsyth, Lincoln, Yadkin and parts of Iredell
Incumbent: Patrick McHenry, a Lincoln County Republican, announced he plans to file for reelection.
District 13
Counties: Burke, Cleveland, Gaston, McDowell, Polk, Rutherford and parts of Mecklenburg
Incumbent: None
Democrats who have filed: Josh Remillard
Republicans who have filed: Madison Cawthorn
District 14
Counties: Avery, Buncombe, Cherokee, Clay, Graham, Haywood, Henderson, Jackson, Macon, Madison, Mitchell, Swain, Transylvania, Yancey and parts of Watauga.
Incumbent: Madison Cawthorn, a Republican from Henderson County. Cawthorn announced plans to file for reelection in the 13th district instead of the 14th.
Democrats who have filed: Eric Gash
Republicans who have filed: Chuck Edwards, Ken McKim, Rod Honeycutt
