Leave it to the Senate’s "vote-a-rama" on the Republican-sponsored budget resolution to learn that Sen. David Vitter prefers the soft ruffling sound of dollar bills over the jangle of coins.
Among the more than 700 nonbinding amendments that senators were trying to sift through Thursday night was a one-page gem by Vitter, R-La., calling for the removal of any language in the resolution that "makes it easier for Washington elites to force Americans to give up their dollar bills and use dollar coins, like Europeans."
