According to new poll released today, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is getting a cold shoulder from his home state with his approval ratings at a new low.
In a measure of Christie’s job performance, 35 percent of registered voters said they approved of the way the governor was doing his job while 51 percent disapproved.
The Fairleigh Dickinson University PublicMind survey found that the approval ratings were the lowest the pollsters had recorded while the disapproval ratings were at a record high.
The poll findings, first reported by Politico, found Christie himself to be a divisive figure. There were 35 percent of voters who “dislike everything about him,” while eight percent don’t like him but like his policies. He has his following, with 29 percent who like everything about him. Another 21 percent like him but not his policies.
