Former President George H.W. Bush will remain in a Houston hospital after having been rushed there Monday night because of shortness of breath.

"The former president, age 90, will be held for observation, again as a precaution," according to a statement from his office.

In 2013, Bush spent nearly two months at the same hospital, Houston Methodist, for treatment of bronchitis and other health concerns.

The 41st chief executive, Bush is father of former President George W. Bush, no. 43, and Jeb Bush, the former Florida governor who is currently contemplating a campaign for the Republican presidential nomination in 2016.
