President Obama will appear on The Ellen DeGeneres Show via a live shot from the White House on Thursday, as part of the administration's pitch to persuade women and moms to encourage their kids to sign up for health care.
The White House says the appearance will be Obama's first on the show since taking office - and that the show reaches about 4 million total viewers per episode on average.
The White House is under the gun to boost enrollment numbers with a March 31 enrollment deadline approaching.
The nationally syndicated sports radio show, The Herd with Colin Cowherd, will air an interview with Obama "focused on the importance of sports fans and others signing up for health care coverage," the White House said.
