The White House Correspondents' Association announced Friday that National Public Radio's Scott Horsley was elected to fill a seat on its board of directors.
Horsley received more votes than other radio correspondent in a special election to fill the seat of NPR's Ari Shapiro, who will be leaving the White House beat in a few months to take up a new assignment in London.
The nine-member board of directors addresses access to president, coverage arrangements and logistics and costs for press travel. Steven Thomma of McClatchy Newspapers is this year's president.
