House of Representatives Republican leaders Tuesday tried to shift the health care focus to the entire Affordable Care Act, rather than simply complain about the troubled exchange website.
"You know, the problem with Obamacare isn't just the website; it's the whole law," House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, told reporters after a meeting of House Republicans. "And I've heard from hundreds of my constituents, who are seeing their premiums rise. They're seeing their policies being canceled."
Majority Leader Eric Cantor, R-Va., sounded the same theme.
"The bottom line is the problems with Obamacare run deeper than just the website. I mean, the failed website is the most visible problem with Obamacare right now, but it's not just the traffic," he said.
"The data being transmitted may be incorrect or, even worse, insecure. But the problems do run much deeper than just the website."
