Sen. Barack Obama's campaign says it will notify supporters by email — first — when the Democratic nominee decides on his choice for the vice presidential slot.
Those who want to "be the first to know," as the campaign puts it, will have to sign up for the notification.
Although the campaign pitch doesn't say so, the assumption is signers-up will later be asked to -- ahem -- donate to the campaign.
Obama is on vacation until Saturday. The Democratic National Convention in Denver starts two weeks from today.
