Barack Obama's new campaign chief of staff is from Idaho

Presidential hopeful Barack Obama's new campaign chief of staff, Jim Messina, has deep Idaho roots.

Obama's campaign named new senior advisers on Monday, including former Hillary Rodham Clinton campaign manager Patti Solis Doyle as chief of staff to the presidential candidate's yet-to-be-chosen running mate, according to the Associated Press.

Messina's title will be campaign chief of staff although he will not replace current manager David Plouffe. The two will work together.
