Obama's Florida challenge evident as he seals nomination

In the hours before Barack Obama wrapped up the Democratic nomination on Tuesday, signs loomed of the challenges he faces in Florida, the nation's largest swing state:

-- Democratic congressmen Tim Mahoney and Allen Boyd, both superdelegates, announced they were not ready to get on board.

-- Party leader Jon Ausman, who successfully challenged Florida's ban from the nominating convention, cast his lot with Hillary Clinton.

-- And at a town hall meeting in a Democratic enclave in Coconut Creek, some Clinton fans swore they would sooner back Republican John McCain than Obama.

Longtime Obama supporter Carrie Meek, who broke racial barriers when she represented Miami in Congress for a decade, acknowledged Obama "has a lot of legwork to do.''
