Round-up of Daily Violence in Iraq - Tuesday 2 November 2010

The daily Iraq violence report is compiled by McClatchy Newspapers Special Correspondents in Baghdad from police, military and medical reports. This is not a comprehensive list of all violence in Iraq, much of which goes unreported. It's posted without editing as transmitted to McClatchy's Washington Bureau.

Baghdad- 14 parked car bombs exploded all over Baghdad within an hour, the attacks started at 6:30 p.m. hitting the following neighborhoods: Sadr, Kathimiya, Al Hussainia, two in Shuala, Chikouk targeted a Shiite mosque, Greaat, Bayaa, Al Jihad, Dora, Al Ameen, Ur, Rahmaniya, Amil. Iraqi security forces managed to defuse two car bombs before it explode. Two roadside bombs in Kamaliyah. Mortar shells slammed into Ghazaliya and New Baghdad. All explosions targeted civilians. 54 people were killed and 248 were injured.
