Baghdad

A magnetic bomb that was stuck to the private car of an employee in the Ministry of Interior, detonated, in Dora neighbourhood, south Baghdad, Friday, killing the MoI employee and seriously injuring three civilian pedestrians.

A roadside bomb targeted a police patrol in the entrance of Arab Juboor area (known as a hotbed for Sunni insurgency), south Baghdad, late Thursday, injuring ten people, including four police officers, four policemen and two civilians.

A roadside bomb targeted a Sahwa checkpoint in the entrance to Ray neighbourhood, south Baghdad, late Thursday, injuring five people, including three Sahwa members and two civilians.

A roadside bomb targeted civilians in Omer bin Abdulaziz Street in Athamiyah, north Baghdad, late Thursday, injuring three.

A magnetic bomb that was stuck to the car of a college professor, Saad Abdulwahab, detonated in Maghrib Street, Athamiyah neighbourhood, north Baghdad, late Thursday, killing the professor and seriously injuring two civilian passers by.

Nineveh

Armed men in a speeding car shot and killed one civilian in Qadisiyah neighbourhood, east Mosul, late Thursday.
