This is not a comprehensive list of all violence in Iraq, much of which goes unreported. It's posted without editing as transmitted to McClatchy's Washington Bureau.

Baghdad

A roadside bomb targeted civilians near Buratha Mosque, north Baghdad, at 8 a.m. Thursday, injuring three.

A roadside bomb targeted a traffic police patrol near Tayaran Square, central Baghdad, at 9 a.m. Thursday, killing one civilian and seriously injuring three traffic policemen.

Men armed with pistols fitted with silencers attacked a car belonging to the security force that is responsible for embassies' security, in Masbah Square, Karrada, central Baghdad at noon, Thursday, killing the driver.

A home made bomb that was hidden inside a plastic carrier-bag and left inside a shoe shop in Rusafi Square, central Baghdad, detonated at around 1 p.m. Thursday, injuring two civilians.

A magnetic bomb that was stuck to a civilian car, detonated in Dora neighbourhood, south Baghdad, late Wednesday, injuring three civilians.

Nineveh

Armed men stormed a house in Quds neighbourhood, east Mosul, killing a woman and her 14 year-old daughter, at around noon, Thursday.

Armed men opened fire upon the motorcade of Nineveh Provincial Council member, Yahya Mahjoob, in Dawasa Street, central Mosul, causing only material damages to the armoured car he was riding in.

Armed men in a speeding car opened fire upon a woman and her daughter who were walking down the main thoroughfare in al Arabi neighbourhood, west Mosul, Thursday, killing them both.

Armed men shot and killed one civilian in Tanak neighbourhood, west Mosul, late Wednesday.

Armed men shot and killed one civilian in Tel al Rumman neighbourhood, west Mosul, late Wednesday.

Anbar

A magnetic bomb that was stuck to a civilian car, detonated in the town of Garma, 15 km to the north of Fallujah, early Thursday, killing the driver and seriously injuring the passenger.
