A home made bomb that was planted inside a traffic police kiosk in Mayseloon Square, east Baghdad, detonated Thursday morning, injuring one traffic policeman.

An armed man held up a currency exchange business in New Baghdad, east Baghdad, killed three people and injured another eight, and got away.

Armed men stormed the house of a policeman in Wahda neighbourhood, Abu Ghraib district, west Baghdad, late Wednesday, killing the policeman, his wife and a guest who was staying over.

Armed men in a speeding car shot and killed a traffic policeman near Qahtan Square, Yarmouk neighbourhood, west Baghdad, at 10.30 p.m. Wednesday.

A magnetic bomb that was stuck to a civilian car detonated near Yarmouk traffic police station, west Baghdad, at around 11 p.m. Wednesday, without casualties.


Two cars carrying armed men attacked and attempted to take-over an Iraqi army checkpoint in Tel Abta, west Mosul, Thursday, but failed; one armed man was killed, the rest got away on foot, leaving behind their burned cars.
