Baghdad
A roadside bomb targeted pilgrims returning from pilgrimage to Kathimiyah (to commemorate the martyrdom of imam MUsa al Kathim), in New Baghdad, east Baghdad, at 7 a.m. Thursday, killing three and injuring at least 21.
A roadside bomb targeted returning pilgrims in Zafaraniyah neighbourhood, southeast Baghdad, Thursday, killing four and injuring 20 others.
A parked car bomb targeted returning pilgrims in I'lam neighbourhood, south Baghdad, at 8 a.m. Thursday, injuring 10, most of whose injuries were serious.
A roadside bomb targeted returning pilgrims in Palestine Street, east Baghdad, Thursday, killing two and injuring at least 20.
Casualties in Baghdad, Wednesday rose to 53 killed and 341 injured, bringing the total for last three days – till Thursday afternoon, to at least 68 killed and at least 449 injured.
Anbar
Armed men booby-trapped and blew up three houses owned by police officers, in central Ramadi, the province's capital city, killing three people and injuring four, all family members of the policemen.
Diyala
A roadside bomb targeted a police patrol near the main coach station in central Baquba, at 10 a.m. Thursday, seriously injuring one policemen and two civilians.
A roadside bomb targeted an Iraqi army patrol in central Baquba, Thursday, causing material damages to the vehicle.
