Baghdad
A magnetic bomb that was stuck to a civilian car detonated in the main commercial street in Saidiyah neighbourhood late Saturday, injuring five civilians.
Diyala
A magnetic bomb that was stuck to a parked civilian car detonated in the main marketplace in Anasfiyah neighbourhood, central Baquba, Sunday, killing one woman and seriously injuring one man.
Nineveh
The body of a thirty-year-old Shabek male was found in the wilderness near the town of Birtilla, east of Mosul, Sunday.
Armed men broke into a home in Bab al Beedh neighbourhood, central Mosul and shot and killed one man and three women who were inside the house.
Armed men threw a home made bomb at an army checkpoint in Darghazliyah neighbourhood, east Mosul, injuring one civilian.
Armed men opened fire upon a police patrol in Mashahdah neighbourhood, west Mosul, injuring two police officers.
Basra
Armed men threw a home made bomb at the home of Hatim Hussein Beden, head of the Tribal Support Council in Basra (a government supported armed group, formee basically in Shiite areas, much like the Sahwa or Awakening councils that provided security in the Sunni areas), late Friday. The explosion, in al Qibla neighbourhood, west Basra, killed Beden's wife and seriously injured is son.
