Round-up of Daily Violence in Iraq - Tuesday 25 August 2009

Four civilian s were wounded by a bomb that targeted civilians in Al-ameen neighborhood in east Baghdad around 10 a.m.

Five people including two guards of the director of New Baghdad neighborhood municipality were injured by an adhesive bomb that was attached to his car in Karrada neighborhood in downtown Baghdad around 10 a.m.

Four members of the national police were wounded by a roadside bomb that targeted their vehicle in Al-nidhal Street in downtown Baghdad around 12 p.m.

One civilian was injured by an adhesive bomb that was stuck to his car in Saidiyah in south Baghdad around 6 p.m.

A gunman shot at the car of the minister of planning in downtown baghdad around 8 p.m. No casualties were reported.

Four members of the national police were injured by a roadside bomb in doura neighbirhood in south Baghdad on Tuesday evening.


Gunmen opened fire upon a Sheikh while he was praying inside a mosque in north on Monday evening Mosul injuring him seriously.

On Tuesday morning, a gunman shot to death a civilian in a hospital and wounded a policeman in west Mosul. The police opened fire upon the gunman and arrested him.
