Baghdad

Around 6 a.m. gunmen driving a speeding car opened fire upon a checkpoint of the Iraqi army in Anter intersection in Athemiyah neighborhood in northeast Baghdad killing two soldiers and injuring a third one.

Two civilians were wounded by a bomb in Saidiyah neighborhood south Baghdad around 8 a.m.

Nineveh

A local mayor and two children were killed by a bomb that was planted near the mayor's office in Al-qahira neighborhood in north Mosul on Saturday morning.

Gunmen using pistols with silencers killed an owner of a liquor store inside his store in Halab Street in downtown Mosul on Saturday afternoon.

Gunmen using pistols with silencers killed an owner of food substances store in Bab Al-toob area in downtown Mosul on Saturday afternoon.

Police found an unidentified body in east Mosul on Saturday evening.

Kirkuk

A high rank Iraqi army officer was injured by a roadside that targeted his vehicle in Kirkuk city around 8 a.m.
