Round-up of Daily Violence in Iraq - Sunday 26 July 2009

Around 10 a.m. gunmen using pistols with silencers attacked alNibal company for money exchange in alSina'a Street in east Baghdad killing four people and injuring another four.


Gunmen killed two civilians in Nahar alshiekh area north Baquba around 7 p.m.


On Saturday evening, a roadside bomb targeted the vehicle of Salah alMirawi, a high ranking police officer, killing him and injuring three other people in Khaldiyah town east of Ramadi. Later on two policemen were killed and one was injured when a suicide driving a car bomb targeted a police checkpoint.

On Sunday evening, a suicide bomber wearing an explosive vest blew up himself among civilians who were in the mourning ceremonies of alMirawi in Khaldiyah town killing two policemen as they tried to stop him and injuring 13 people.
