Round-up of Daily Violence in Iraq - Monday 29 December 2008

Six civilians were wounded by a roadside bomb in downtown Baqub around 10 a.m.


Around 10 a.m. an adhesive bomb that was stuck to a police vehicle detonated while the vehicle was inside a police fuel station in downtown Basra causing serious injuries to the driver.


A police officer, his wife and his daughter were killed by an adhesive bomb that was stuck to his car. The bomb detonated while the police officer was driving his car in Mahaweel area north of Hilla city on Monday morning.


A suicide bomber walking with a man tried to reach a joint center for the Iraq army and police in Tal Afar west of Mosul city. The police shot the suicide bomber and killed him. The man detonated injuring the other man.
