Baghdad
An IED attached to a civilian car exploded targeting a Sahwa checkpoint in Ghazaliyah this afternoon, killing 2 people, one of which was a Sahwa member and injuring 4, 2 of which were Sahwa members.
4 bodies were found in Baghdad by Iraqi Police today. 1 in Qahira, 1 in Binook, 1 in Hurriyah and 1 in Saidiyah.
Diyala
Diyala Police found 5 bodies in one place in al-Salam neighbourhood, 20 km to the north of Baquba. They were found on the side of the road. There was evidence of torture and each had several gunshot wounds in the head.
Nineveh
Two suicide bombers wearing explosive belts tried to enter al-Sadiq Mosque, one of the Shiite mosques in the town of Tall 'Afar, to the north of Mosul. The police suspected them and shot at them, but one of them detonated killing three civilians, injuring 16.
Kirkuk
Zab district police said that U.S. military forces killed four Sahwa members and two women and detained 14 others in a raid upon Abdullah al-Sebeel village Zab district, Hawija, 80 km to the west of Kirkuk at 03:00 am yesterday. In a press release, the U.S. military said soldiers had killed seven terrorists, including two women in an operation in al-Shirqat, an area not very far from Hawija, but couldn't confirm whether it was the same incident or not.
