The daily Iraq violence report is complied by McClatchy Newspapers Special Correspondents in Baghdad from police, military and medical reports. This is not a comprehensive list of all violence in Iraq, much of which goes unreported. It's posted without editing as transmitted to McClatchy's Washington Bureau.

Baghdad

- Around 9.30 a.m., a bomb which was planted inside a mini bus ( Coaster model) exploded at Zafarania neighborhood ( east Baghdad) killing 4 people and injuring 7 others. - Around 11 a.m., a roadside bomb exploded at Waziriyah neighborhood ( north Baghdad) killing 1 person and injuring two others.

- Around 12 p.m., a car bomb exploded near the former Public bus station at Wihda neighborhood (east Baghdad) killing three people and injuring 8 others. - Around 12.15 p.m., a roadside bomb targeted an American convoy at Ur neighborhood ( north east Baghdad) .No casualties reported on the American side while one civilian was killed and 6 others injured with nine cars damaged.

SIGN UP

- Police found (8) unidentified dead bodies in the following neighborhoods in Baghdad: ( 5 ) in west Baghdad ( Karkh bank ); 2 in Amil , 2 in Doura and 1 in Risala . While ( 3 ) were found in east Baghdad ( Risafa bank ) ; 1 in Ur , 1 in Sleikh and 1 in Shaab.

Babil

- Around 10 a.m., the deputy governor of Iskandariyah ( 45 km north of Hilla and 50 km south of Baghdad) was assassinated by a roadside bomb which targeted his convoy in Iskandariyah killing three of his guards and injuring a fourth one .

Kirkuk

- Wednesday noon , a roadside bomb targeted a police patrol in downtown Kirkuk killing one policeman .

Diyala

- Wednesday night , a roadside bomb targeted an Iraqi army patrol on the high way of Imam Weis near Khanaqeen city ( north Baquba) . No casualties reported .

- Wednesday night , gunmen killed a resident of Qara Taba village (70 km north of Baquba) without knowing the reason behind that assassination.

Arbil

- Wednesday night , police found a dead body for a young woman ( about 25 years old) having 4 bullets on the body in Arbil city .

Mosul

- Thursday morning , gunmen opened fire on a house at Zimmar neighborhood (north of Mosul ) injuring a woman of about 45 years .Police said the woman’s son belongs to PDK ( Patriotic Democratic of Kurdstan ) who was the target on that attack.

Salahuddin

- Early morning , a roadside bomb targeted an Iraqi army patrol south west Samara injuring three soldiers.

- Around 1 p.m., a roadside targeted the convoy of the head of Salahuddin’s Awaking tribes ( Mua’awia Jibara ) at Riga village near Ishaqi ( south west Samara ) injuring the Sheikh ( who died later in the hospital from serious in the head)and three of his guards were killed ,too .

Anbar

- Around 10 p.m. of Wednesday , mortars hit Al-Dhibat( officers) neighborhood in Falluja having indirect damage for a house there. No casualties recorded.
