The daily Iraq violence report is complied by McClatchy Newspapers Special Correspondents in Baghdad from police, military and medical reports. This is not a comprehensive list of all violence in Iraq, much of which goes unreported. It's posted without editing as transmitted to McClatchy's Washington Bureau.

Baghdad

- Around 8 a.m., a roadside bomb targeted a police patrol at Salman Back ( south Baghdad) killing one policeman and in injuring 5 others.

- Around 8.15 a.m., a roadside bomb exploded at Karrada neighborhood near the commercial Mission compound killing 2 people and injuring 4 others.

- Around 12 p.m., a roadside bomb exploded near Zayouna passport department targeting a police patrol injuring 3 policemen and 2 civilians.

- Around 2 p.m., a roadside bomb targeted an American patrol at Shaab neighborhood injuring 3 people.

- Around 4.30 p.m., a roadside bomb targeted an American patrol near the entrance of Abu Disheer . No casualties reported .

- Around 7.30 p.m., a roadside bomb targeted an American patrol at Binouk neighborhood near the water supply station .No casualties reported.

- Police found 9 unidentified bodies in the following neighborhoods in Baghdad :( 7 ) were found in west Baghdad ( Karkh bank) ; 2 in Amil , 1 in Jihad , 1 in Saidiyah , 1 in Hurriyah , 1 in Doura and 1 in Bayaa. While( 2 ) were found in east Baghdad ( Risafa bank) ; 1 in Adhemiyah and 1 in Sleikh .

Kirkuk

- Yesterday, police found two dead bodies for a young man and woman inside a well in a house at Nidaa neighborhood in downtown Kirkuk.

- Yesterday night, gunmen kidnapped a doctor who works for Ibn Sina hospital in Mosul while he was doing shopping in the city market, Dr. Hisham Al-Qazaz a colleague of the abducted doctor said.

- Police found two dead bodies in Tuz Khurmatu ( south Kirkuk ) on Tuesday morning . Both are brothers , the first on is a policeman while the other is a student .They are from Turkman nationality.
