The daily Iraqi violence report is compiled by McClatchy Newspapers Special Correspondents in Baghdad from police, military and medical reports. This is not a comprehensive list of all violence in Iraq, much of which goes unreported. It’s posted without editing as transmitted to McClatchy’s Washington Bureau.

Baghdad

5 people (3 civilians and 2 policemen) were wounded in an IED explosion that targeted a police patrol in Yarmouk neighborhood west Baghdad around 8,00 pm.

3 civilians were wounded in an IED explosion in Nahdha neighborhood east Baghdad around 12,00 pm.

3 civilians were killed and 8 were injured in a parked car bomb near Husseiniyah Al Ansar (Al Ansar Shiite mosque) in Jamila neighborhood east Baghdad around 1,00

Police found 11 bodies in Baghdad today. 7 bodies were found in Karkh, the western side of Baghdad in the following neighborhoods ( 3 bodies in Doura, 2 bodies in Amil and 2 bodies in Bayaa.) 4 bodies were found in Rusafa, the eastern side of Baghdad in the following neighborhoods (2 bodies in Sadr city, 1 body in Shaab and 1 body in Sleikh).

Kirkuk

Police said that the final result of the explosion in Tuz Khurmatu town south of Kirkuk increased into 9 killed people and 24 injured ones. Police corrected the new about the explosion saying that the explosion which took place yesterday morning was implemented by an IED not a suicide bomber.

A civilian was injured when gunmen opened fire in Al Sarai neighborhood inside Hawija town west of Kirkuk today afternoon.

Gunmen killed a civilian called Monther Saad Elyan near Said jalal village on the way between Hawija today afternoon.

Nineveh

A source in the Iraqi army said that gunmen killed a Kuridh citizen in Al Entisar neighborhood in Mosul city today morning.

Anbar

Police sources said that a police man was killed by a sniper while he was in a checkpoint in Al Hadhraa crossroad downtown Falluja town west of Baghdad yesterday night.

Basra

the deputy of Basra police comamnder Brigadier general Edan Jaber Kareem had survived from an assassination attempt when a snipre targeted his vehicle in Kut Al Hajjaj area downtown Basra city today morning.
