PASCAGOULA -- Officials with the state and Chevron’s Pascagoula Refinery announced this morning that Chevron will commence construction of a $1.4 billion lubricants manufacturing facility at the refinery.
The project, formally called the Pascagoula Base Oil Project, will generate approximately 1,000 job over the next two years of construction and about 20 permanent positions for the project.
“Many communities are trying to attract world-class, long-lasting manufacturing projects,” said Tom Kovar. refinery general manager. “Now this one is a reality in Pascagoula.”
