BILOXI -- Jimmy Buffett is ready to build and open the first Margaritaville Casino by the end of the year in Biloxi, the city where the singer-songwriter played his first paid gig.
The master plan for the 68,000-square-foot, $48 million resort was presented Wednesday to Biloxi’s Development Review Committee.
Michael Cavanaugh, attorney for the developers, said the three-story resort will be “all Margaritaville,” including the shops, casino and the restaurants that will have an outdoor dining area. The plans include an events center and a marina for guests.
