Charlotte Mecklenburg Library leaders on Wednesday outlined early scenarios for next year's budget, including some that warn of more possible branch closings.
Officials say the budget options are just preliminary, but they wanted to give trustees and the public a heads-up on possible choices up for debate in the coming months.
"It was a way to give the board a starting place ... to think of the challenges they may face in the budget year," said library spokeswoman Cordelia Anderson.
