Affordable property lists in Washington, DC, for $50K. The catch — it’s only a wall

Well, this is — um — a new one.

A wall (yes, a wall) has landed on the real estate market in Washington, D.C., in the coveted and historical Georgetown area for $50,000 — which could get you 22 square feet of brick red ad space?

It is really not that unusual for certain “properties” like this to pop up on Zillow.com, but most of the time, they are listings for parking spots or a lot of land with acreage out in the middle of the country. But a wall? It’s like a listing specifically put up to attract Banksy or a cartoon roadrunner trying to escape Wile E. Coyote.

The listing caught the attention of popular TikTok creator @Zillowtastrophes, who posted a video of it.

“I’m about to show you the most ridiculous listing you’ve ever seen,” the creator said. She at first alludes to the house the wall is connected to before pointing to the wall itself.

“Guys, I’m not kidding — I know you think I’m kidding, (but) this wall is $50,000.”

Of course, jokes flooded the comment section.

“Okay in this scenario I have unlimited money. I would have more and more unhinged murals painted in the dead of night. And then watch the chaos,” one person joked.

“Hang a hammock from it to sleep in,” another suggested.

“I’d just get it for the bragging rights... ‘no I can’t come over today I have to go check on my property in Georgetown,’” someone said.

“High stakes wall ball to recoup the money.” one person noted.

“They better hope Spider-Man swings by,” another said.
