President Barack Obama won’t pick any favorites when it comes to Republicans.
Asked by ABC News in an interview focused mostly on health, to name his favorite Republican, Obama smiled and said “I love them all. I think it’s fair to say that if I endorse any one of them that they definitely don’t win.”
Obama also talked about his administration’s latest pitch to highlight the health effects of climate change, noting the the percentage of Americans with asthma has more than doubled in the past three decades, according to a White House report.
He said his daughter, Malia, had had asthma at age 4 and that he can relate to “the fear a parent has when your four-year-old daughter comes up to you and says ‘Daddy, I’m having trouble breathing.’ “
And he gave his signature health care law an “8” out of 10, saying “the reason I don’t put it at a 10 is you can always improve something.”
Obama did interviews with health reporters from all three news networks on Tuesday.
