A national environmental group has named the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta one of America's most endangered river systems for the second year in a row.
The nonprofit American Rivers annually publishes a list of the 10 most endangered rivers. Its list for 2010, released today, ranks the California Delta second out of 10. Last year, it was ranked No. 1.
"There's only a handful of rivers that make repeat appearances," said Amy Kober, spokeswoman for the group. "There's a pretty high bar for that."
