Smackdown on Internet bullies

Over the past few months, Crime Scene KC has linked to a series of stories where a prankster would call a business and trick the employees or customers into doing something stupid. Fast-food workers have been told to discharge their fire-suppression systems and then run outside and strip to their underwear. Hotel guests have broken windows because of the pranksters.

And now? The Smoking Gun says it's tracked down the people responsible, from an online site called Pranknet. It's one of the best and nastiest pieces of investigative journalism I've read in months. TSG plants a giant, steeltoed boot in the posteriors of those responsible, who thought it was funny to abuse some poor McDonald's worker. They've essentially pulled back the curtain to show what Internet bullies look like in real life.
