It's a mega mystery.
A Mega Millions ticket worth $135,177 purchased in Elk Grove two months ago still has not been claimed.
Could it be in a purse or at the bottom of a grocery bag? Or is it buried under tax records?
"We are still on the lookout for the lucky person who bought that ticket in Elk Grove," said lottery spokesman Alex Traverso, whose agency is issuing a news release today to get the word out.
The clock is ticking on the ticket's expiration — but the winner still has four months to claim the prize.
