Texas real estate agent designs himself a top energy-rated house

A few years ago, Trey Neville immersed himself into learning everything he could about sustainable development.

Neville, a commercial real estate broker in Fort Worth, Texas, delved into it so much that a year ago, he received his LEED, or Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, accredited professional certification from the U.S. Green Building Council. He then set out to build the "greenest" home he could.

Neville and his wife are now about two months away from moving into a 2,900-square-foot house in the Arlington Heights neighborhood that, when completed, will receive a platinum rating, the highest LEED designation.
