Patrick Ip won't be able to vote in November's presidential election.
"I'll be short by 16 days," said the 17-year-old Modesto High School senior.
But that hasn't stopped him from from throwing his full support toward Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama.
As California's director of Students for Obama, he's in Denver this week for the Democratic National Convention. He was ecstatic this afternoon after he secured a spot in the Pepsi Center, where New York Sen. Hilary Rodham Clinton will deliver a much-anticipated speech.
"I want to see how much she'll do to support unification," Ip said. "I've been an Obama supporter all the way. I'm not too happy with Clinton."
Ip said he wasn't into politics much until he saw Obama on TV, and in person. He was immediately hooked.
