Nadin Reyes, the daughter of Edmundo Reyes, 57, cited unconfirmed reports that her father (shown in the picture held by Reyes) and Cruz Sanchez had been seen and tortured at Campo Militar No. 1, even though human rights investigators could not confirm that on a brief visit there. Reyes, 25, she said her family had no knowledge of his apparent rebel ties. She described her father as a respected, hard-working owner of a convience store on the outskirts of Mexico City  She said her father left his native Oaxaca as a young man so he could earn money to help his parents.
