Darfur rebel leader Minni Minnawi, shown here in his office in Khartoum, Sudan, on June 18, 2007, says he doesn't regret signing a peace agreement that has only deepened the conflict in western Sudan. Minnawi was the only rebel leader who signed the U.S.-backed peace deal, but 14 months later violence continues to wrack Darfur. "Everyone knows my reservations. But I chose to stop the bloodshed," Minnawi said.
