A Tacoma woman accused of prostituting a pair of 13-year-old runaway girls has been charged in federal court with two counts of sex trafficking.
Pierce County Prosecutor Mark Lindquist dismissed the local case after learning that 38-year-old Shadina Devona Rice was being charged by the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
Rice is due in court today.
She gave shelter to the girls and told them they had to have sex with men for money if they wanted to stay, according to court documents.
