Video surveillance captured a Rock Hill convenience store employee scratching off lottery tickets and buying the winners, police say.
Rock Hill police were alerted Monday after the owner of Sam's Mart on Saluda Street saw video of the now former employee scratching off lottery tickets and purchasing them only when he found a winner, according to a police report.
The video showed the man, who hasn't been charged at the time of the report, scratching about $880 worth of tickets Saturday, the report said. That video has not been given to police, Rock Hill police Lt. Brad Redfearn said.
