CHARLOTTE — Authorities have arrested six women and are looking for 10 more in connection with a crackdown on female entertainers at Mecklenburg County’s adult clubs, county ABC officials say.
The women were charged with indecent exposure, violating a North Carolina law that prohibits dancers at the adult clubs from performing naked.
“They must wear their bottoms,” said Michael Crowley, of the Mecklenburg County ABC.
Crowley said the arrests followed a six-month undercover operation in which two officers – one from the ABC and the other from the Pineville Police Department – visited adult clubs to see if the female entertainers were following state laws.
