Myrtle Beach police have charged a man in connection with a nude woman being thrown from a second-floor hotel balcony Monday evening.
Cody James Epley, 17, was charged with first-degree assault, according to police. Epley was at the Myrtle Beach jail Monday night.
Myrtle Beach Police Sgt. Dave Cooke said witnesses told officers they saw a man throwing the woman over the balcony at the Sea Dunes Hotel, 605 S. Ocean Blvd.
The 18-year-old West Virginia woman was taken to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center.
She told police she had been sexually assaulted, Cooke said.
The victim appeared to be intoxicated, he said.
