At least eight witnesses saw Quentin Wyche fatally stab unarmed Florida International University running back Kendall Berry last week outside a campus recreation center, according to an arrest warrant made public on Monday.
"That's what he gets. . . . I told ya'll," Wyche hollered as Berry lay on the ground bleeding Thursday afternoon, witnesses told Miami-Dade homicide detectives.
Berry died at Jackson Memorial Hospital of one stab wound to the stomach, according to the warrant.
Wyche, 22, escaped but surrendered Friday night to face a charge of second-degree murder with a deadly weapon. He was scheduled to appear in Miami-Dade Circuit Court on Monday.
