Prince Charles and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member Jackson Browne have joined the growing list of celebrities and popular athletes testing positive for the coronavirus.
Clarence House released a statement late Tuesday saying the 71-year-old Duke and heir to the British throne had been showing mild symptoms, The Guardian reported.
“It is not possible to ascertain from whom the Prince caught the virus owing to the high number of engagements he carried out in his public role during recent weeks,” the news outlet reported.
Charles and his wife, Camilla, were “self isolating at Balmoral” and are otherwise in good health, BBC reported.
The prince is the latest celebrity to test positive for the virus since the outbreak spread beyond China.
Actor Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson announced on March 11 that they tested positive while working in Australia.
Since then, singer Jackson Browne (“Running on Empty”), actor Idris Elba, “Bond girl” Olga Kurylenko and NBA star Kevin Durant have said they contracted the coronavirus.
